Schools To Watch

This year, Hollydale's Schools to Watch Team had a great time in Sacramento accepting the Schools To Watch state level award. The team got the opportunity of  presenting two of the school's model instructional practices to other schools. The Hollydale team presented an inquiry lesson using the 5 Es Instructional Model as well as presenting the school's background information and why Hollydale is a model middle school. They also attended a CA State Assembly meeting at the Capitol and were recognized by assemblyman Rendon (whose office is on Main Street in South Gate) for the school's accomplishment.  In June the Hollydale Schools to Watch team will be heading out to Washington DC to receive a national award as well.
