Zamboni Middle School's boys basketball team recently hosted Hollydale K-8 for an exciting and competitive game, showcasing the talent and determination of the district's young athletes. The event was part of the thriving intramural sports program at Paramount Unified School District (USD), which has been offering middle school students the opportunity to participate in free after-school sports for over a decade.
These programs not only help students stay active but also teach them valuable life skills, such as leadership and perseverance, both in sports and beyond.
The district’s intramural sports programs are funded by the Expanded Learning Opportunities Program, which supports the purchase of uniforms, trophies, and medals for student-athletes, ensuring they have the tools and recognition they deserve for their hard work and dedication.
As the season progresses, both Zamboni MS and Hollydale K-8 continue to push for success, and the district’s intramural sports initiative remains a cornerstone in developing the next generation of athletes.
