"Hollydale Tutorials

We are excited to return to Student Led tutorials for the 2021-2022 academic year! Tutorials are bi-weekly sessions where AVID students get the opportunity to present their “points of confusion” in other classes. By presenting their notes and knowledge leading up to their confusion, students are able to work on creating a clear understanding of the material. Once presenters give their “60-second” speech to set up their work, their peers ask higher-level thinking questions trying to guide the presenter to their moment of self-discovery. 

This is a critical part of our AVID program and creates essential opportunities for students to exercise their own agency and see immediate results from their own determination!"
