What Is AVID?

AVID stands for Advancement Via Individual Determination. Through this program students will develop critical thinking skills, and access resources that will make their dreams of attending a four year college or university into a reality. Students will be encourages to strive for success through a variety of avenues such as debate, public speaking, presentation skills, formal investigations and advanced writing skills. Teachers and administration will serve to guide, instruct and motivate students to aim for higher education and understand the value of being a member of our communities.
